Drive-in movie theaters are making a bit of a comeback amid the pandemic, but what if you could watch your film of choice while floating on a boat?

Due to the COVID-19 global outbreak, cities around the world have come up with creative ways of organizing large gatherings while remaining safe.

ComicBook reported that floating drive-in movie theaters for boats are coming to major U.S. cities. The Hidden App brings Floating Boat Cinema to places like Philadelphia, Austin, Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati.

Movies will play on a projection screen while giving people a chance to watch afar from their boats. Lovers of films can also watch on land if they can get close enough.

On Facebook, Hidden San Francisco wrote, “A cinema experience unlike any other! Enjoy your favorite movies on the big screen (while social distancing) with Floating Boat Cinema. Available for ONE WEEK ONLY, be the first to hear about ticket sales.”

The company discussed how it aims to bring the boat drive-ins to more cities on the event page of their site.

“Floating Cinema is back, but this time with a twist! This unique cinema is coming to San Francisco on September 2 for one week only!”

The theater will be made up of 12 to 24 mini boats that hold up to 8 people per boat. Tickets will require you to purchase seats on the entire boat to make sure groups will be seated with family and friends. It will also enforce social distancing on and between boats.

Movies will consist of new releases and classic oldies, but the company will officially confirm the lineup when tickets go on sale.

There will be free popcorn and other movie snacks and drinks to purchase before you set sail.
